Bestanddele:

½ can Butter beans (drained)

1 can Chickpeas in brine –

drained and mashed

3 Peppadew (finely chopped)

½ Red Onion (finely chopped)

½ cup Breadcrumbs

¼ cup Coriander/Parsley –

finely chopped

1 Tsp Lemon Juice

½ Tsp Smoked Paprika

½ Tsp Crushed Garlic

½ Tsp Chili Flakes or fresh chili

1 Tbs Sweet Chili

2 Sprigs, Spring Onion (Chopped)

  

Salt and Pepper - To Taste

For frying - B-Well Pure Canola Oil (use sparingly) 

For the sauce:

½ Smashed Avocado.

1 Tbs Basil Pesto.

Salt and Pepper to taste.

Metode:


For the Patty: 

  • Using a Potato masher, roughly mash together the beans and chickpeas.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients and fold well together.
  • Form into patties to the size of your available roll.
  • Rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Fry on medium heat for 3 minutes on each side till golden brown.  

For the Filling: 

  • Smash the avocado with a fork.
  • Add the basil pesto and seasoning.
  • Place as much as you like on your burger upon serving!!

For the Burger:

  • Burger may be layered with any of your favorite burger garnishes!
